Primary Care Physician Supervisory Role Columbia, Missouri
Join a thriving, community-focused primary care practice in Columbia, Missouri, offering an opportunity to combine patient care with a supervision role in a highly collaborative and innovative practice model.
This well-established and highly regarded practice has built a strong presence throughout the Columbia community, with approximately 1 in 10 local residents receiving their primary care through the organization. The practice has also developed a robust virtual care platform, expanding its reach beyond the traditional office setting.
This opportunity is ideal for a Family Medicine, Med/Peds, or Internal Medicine physician who enjoys providing high-quality primary care while also serving as a clinical resource and supporting an experienced team of Nurse Practitioners.
Opportunity Highlights
$275,000 - $300,000 compensation range, based on physician patient panel
Starting compensation of approximately $275,000 with no established patient panel
Compensation increases as the physician panel grows, reaching approximately $300,000 at a 400-patient panel
Salary reviewed and adjusted every six months based on panel size
Manage a significantly smaller patient panel than traditional primary care models - approximately 400 patients at full panel
Provide clinical supervision and support to Nurse Practitioners within the practice
Opportunity to discuss a supervision structure based on physician experience and comfort level
Established practice with a strong community reputation and loyal patient base
Large and growing virtual medicine presence
Friendly, energetic and highly collaborative office culture
Opportunity for meaningful physician leadership within a growing organization
Local and relocating candidates encouraged to apply
The Ideal Candidate
We are seeking a Family Medicine or Med/Peds physician, although Internal Medicine physicians with the appropriate primary care background will also be considered.
Candidates should enjoy working collaboratively with advanced practice providers and be comfortable serving in a physician supervisory role. Approximately 3-4 + years of clinical experience is preferred given the leadership component of the position, although candidates will be considered based on their overall background and experience.
This is an excellent opportunity for a physician who enjoys the relationships and energy of community-based medicine but wants a model that allows for a smaller personal patient panel, competitive compensation and meaningful clinical leadership.
