Job description
Maine's largest independent oncology and hematology practice seeks a Board-Certified (or Eligible) Hematologist to join its highly successful, physician-led group. As a private practice and affiliate member of Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, it offers the best of both worlds: autonomy, strong infrastructure, and access to cutting-edge research, tumor boards, precision medicine, and clinical trials.
The Practice
- Competitive compensation based on MGMA median ($550K+ base + wRVU bonus)
- 4 clinic days + 1 administrative day
- Exceptional team support and collegial culture (APPs, Nurse Navigator, and Schedulers)
- Manageable volume: 12-16 patients/day once ramped
- Low-burden call: 1:16 rotation, APPs take first call-just a handful of calls per year
- Two months PTO + CME
- BC/BE in Hematology required
The Community
- Scenic coastal beauty with beaches, islands, and nature trails nearby
- Four-season recreation-sailing, hiking, skiing, and stunning fall foliage
- Clean, safe, family-friendly communities with excellent schools
- Thriving food scene (fresh seafood, farm-to-table dining)
- Active arts and music culture with local festivals and galleries
- Strong sense of community, rich history, and coastal charm
- Easy weekend escapes to the White Mountains, Acadia National Park, or Boston
